Hola a todos, mein Name ist Niklas, ich bin 20 Jahre alt und komme aus Hamburg. Im Februar 2014 beginnt für mich ein großes Abenteuer als freiwilliger Helfer für den AFS (American Field Service) in Asunción, Paraguay. Ich werde hier mit Kindern arbeiten und versuchen ihnen dabei zu helfen, nicht auf der Straße arbeiten zu müssen wie so viele andere.
Ich selbst bin ein schüchterner, humorvoller Mensch mit einer Leidenschaft für Fotografie, Sprachen und die Luftfahrt. Dieser Blog wird anfangs bilingual, später eventuell auch trilingual sein, also überlest ruhig alles Fremdsprachige ;) Wenn ihr zukünftige Voluntäre seid, zögert nicht Fragen zu stellen, sei es zur Vorbereitung, zum Ablauf oder was auch immer euch sonst auf dem Herzen liegt.

Hola a todos, my name is Niklas, I'm a 20 year old German who has been living near Hamburg, Germany all his life. February 20th marks the beginning of my first real adventure - working as a Volunteer for AFS (American Field Service) in Asunción, Paraguay. My job here will be to help keep children off the streets and teach them some basic skills, as well as just keeping them occupied so that they won't suffer from the same situation as many others their age in Paraguay.
I am a kind of shy guy with a sense of humor, whose passion lies in photography, languages and aviation.
At first, I'll try to keep this blog bilingual, if my skills permit it I will try and write in Spanish later.
If you are a future volunteer from outside Germany, I don't know if I can answer your questions, but try and ask them anyway, I won't bite ;)
